Loup Loup Ski Area Summer Activity Report for September 18th

As you can see by the accompanying photos, we had a tremendous work session that focused on 3 fronts this past weekend. The drain fields for our septic system were worked on by 2 contractors, 3 machines plus support equipment, and a half dozen additional helpers with the end result that the drain fields are finished! Hurrah!! The Lodge had its regular hard core crew prepping and painting with an additional half dozen weekend warriors coming very close to finishing the first coat of new paint. Again! Hurrah! Our New Building, not to be out done by the other two projects, had a steady crew continuing with the roof framing and getting far enough to cover the upstairs with tarpaper to “weather” us in! And again! Hurrah!

This coming weekend, September 23rd and 24th, the painting will continue, and the New Building will be working to extend the roof system to cover the front deck and ticket service areas, interior framing and other work to wrap us from the weather, as volunteer help allows.

I have tried in the past to name all the volunteers from each week, but I’m sorry (& happy!!) to say that I am a bit overwhelmed. Thank you John, Bill, Jason, Lynn, Barry and... for the roof help, Dave, Aston (?), Larry, Doug, Jerry, Julie, Billy & others for drain field help, and Kurt, Sheila, Kurt & crew of others for help on the painting. A Special thank you to those that helped and whose names I forgot.
